MK Guide Recommends

Aizuya Honten is renowned as the originator of takoyaki, Osaka's beloved street food. Established in 1933 by Tokichi Endo, the restaurant initially served "Radio Yaki," a dish made with meat and konnyaku. In 1935, they introduced takoyaki, featuring octopus and a seasoned batter. Unlike many modern variations, Aizuya's takoyaki is traditionally served without sauce, allowing the flavorful batter and tender octopus to stand out. The establishment maintains a nostalgic atmosphere, offering a glimpse into the culinary history of Osaka.
