Born in Paris, Marie Laurencin’s early style was highly influenced by Cubism, and she’s known as one of the few Cubist artists of her time. Over time, she came to be known for her use of pastel colors and graceful forms. This Marie Laurencin exhibition celebrates her work and that of Coco Chanel–both born in 1883—and their contributions to the art world.
