Sapporo Snow Festival
For the first time in three years, the Sapporo Snow Festival is due to be held once again in February 2023. If you’re in Hokkaido, this is not an event to be missed. The main focus is watching the expert artists create astounding snow sculptures, with different sizes being created in different sections of the event space. Join the event on any one of its eight-day runs to see the competition, join in winter activities, and warm up with Hokkaido winter food.

SWEET & SAVORY TREATS
Shiroi Koibito, one of Hokkaido’s leading confectioners, has teamed up with Sapporo’s New Otani Inn to create a 40th-anniversary afternoon tea. The event has been created to show thanks to their customers old and new and will feature delicious sweet and savory treats. After the mini Cuban sandwich and sweet potato sticks, the sweets take center stage, with the likes of strawberry macarons and a melty chocolate fondue decorating your table. Finish it off with tea or cocktails, and a little Shiroi Koibito cookie.
