The Sapporo Summer Festival is one of Hokkaido's largest festivals and has been going since 1954. This special festival is almost a month long and features many different events, including a traditional Hokkai Bon Odori dance, fireworks, and Japan's largest beer garden. You certainly won't be short of things to do.



Hokkai Bon Odori

This year is the first time the festival will be held since 2019, and there is a lot of anticipation and excitement for this event. Join locals wearing Yukata (summer kimono) as they dance to traditional Japanese drumming, and wander summer food and game stalls.

Beer Garden

Starting from mid-July, the Sapporo Odori Beer Garden is one of the largest beer gardens in all of Japan. Held over a one-month period, this beer garden fits 13,000 seats in a six-block area of Odori Park, making it so thousands of visitors can enjoy food and brews together
